In the Premier Division on Saturday, Buckhurst Hill managed to open a two-point lead after they were successful, whereas Kelvedon Hatch were held to a draw.

Suley Zuhdu and Steve Townsend both scored braces, with Billy Wells the other scorer as Buckhurst Hill beat Canning Town 5-0.

 

Kelvedon Hatch remain on Buckhurst Hillís tail but were held to a 2-2 draw by Old Southendian who cancelled out Mike Daniels double with goals from Ruari McIntyre and Reece Brandon. 

 

Danny Morgan scored the Bishopís Stortford Swifts goal in a 1-1 draw at Harold Wood Athletic; while a superb free-kick by Tom Price for Hutton didnít provide all the points as Leigh Ramblers also scored via Jamie Selby  Knight.

 

Rayleigh Town returned to winning ways with a 4-1 win over Great Baddow.

 

Paul Morris opened the scoring in the 5th minute with a curling shot from outside the box; Bailey Moss doubled the lead, Harry Talbot then made it 3-0 and although Great Baddow were able to reduce arrears via an Ashley Cole goal, it then became 4-1 when Cameron Glover closed the show with a shot from the edge of the box.

 

The top three in Division One all won on Saturday. Snaresbrook remain leaders after Tyriquee Solomonís hat-trick gunned down Rayleigh Town Res, the 3-0 win keeping them top on goal difference as Ramsden Scotia were only 1-0 winners over Galleywood, with Ryan Leddra the scorer.

 

Ongar Town were the biggest winners though as they sent Herongate Athletic packing as James Stevens (2), Lee Perry, Sean Green and Ben Polley all scored in the 5-0 win.

 

Defeat sees Herongate slip into the drop zone, as Frenford Res. managed to climb out of it after winning their basement battle with May & Baker E.C. Res. 4-1. Perry Tamburrini scored the May & Baker goal and they remain at the foot of the table after this result.

 

A Dom Binns hat-trick ensured that Shoebury Town took all the points in a 3-2 win over Runwell Sports that keeps them top of the Division Two table.

 

Aaron Rix and John Smithwick scored the Runwell goals who also had Billy Moxley sent-off. 

 

Harold Wood Athletic Res. remain second, despite a 2-1 set-back at Toby.

 

The hosts scored through Justin Clarke and Des Gallen, while Chris Pope scored for Harold Wood who are now three points behind Shoebury Town.

 

Ryan beat bottom-placed May & Baker E.C. ĎAí 2-0, while Lakeside were 6-1 winners over Beacon Hill Rovers courtesy of a Drew Klessa-Smith hat-trick.

 

Connor White added a further two, with Charlie Ashpole the other scorer. Beacon Hill Rovers replied via Charlie Brewer.

 

There was only one game in Division Three and it supplied a few goals as Laindon Orient scored five times without reply against White Ensign Res.

 

Sam Lake bagged a hat-trick with Rodney Wilson and a stunning free kick from James Shadwell completing the tally and moving Laindon Orient up to fifth.

 

In the Anagram Records Trophy, Manford Way took time out from their league campaign, which has seen them fail to win any of their games, to do battle in the Anagram Records Trophy. However, Sarratt ended their interest in the competition after a 6-3 win at the London Marathon Playing Fields.

 

In the London Junior Cup, Newham United are into the third round after a 5-0 success against AFC Battersea.

 

Ousman Ndure bagged a brace, with Lamar Obinkwo, Kaci Henry and Yuan Zahui also notching.

 

FC Hamlets are also through after a Tyler Sanago-Griffiths bagged a brace with Farren Smith the other scorer in their 3-0 away win at Johnson & Phillips. Canning Town Res., however, are out after a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Rygas.

 

In the Senior League Cup, goals from Jermaine Purchas, Scott Truman, Nick Muir, Ashley Daniel and James Smith booked Sungateís place in the third round via a 5-3 away win at Shenfield AFC.

 

Harry Hatt, Sam Lock and Ben Absolon scored for the hosts.
